ADVANCED FOODS
Instructor: Kruger   
Students will expand on nutrition knowledge to include studies on Phytochemicals, sports nutrition, and special diets for diabetics and those with food allergies. Food units covered may include beef, pork, eggs, pastries, cake decorating, meals, and ethnic foods. Students will learn to analyze the impact of science and technology on foods and nutrition, and identify career possibilities related to food and nutrition. Students will participate in many various lab experiences. Prerequisite: Foods & Nutrition
